Dr.
Sebastián Lipina has been invited to be part of an international working group
on the evaluation of child cognitive development -specifically, executive
functions such as attention, inhibitory control, short-term memory, and
cognitive flexibility- coordinated by researchers at Stanford University and
funded by the Jacobs Foundation (https://jacobsfoundation.org/).
The
specific objectives of this working group include the development of guides and
recommendations for the evaluation and analysis of different aspects of
cognitive development through tests, observations, and interviews to be
administered to children, caregivers, and teachers.
The
working group, integrated by researchers from Argentina (represented by Dr.
Lipina), Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and
Sweden, have already begun to work through virtual meetings and will have
in-person meetings in May at the Schloss Marbach (Germany) and at the Jacobs
Foundation office in Zurich (Switzerland).
